A beloved American retail and outdoor recreation services brand, REI are firm believers in the stewardship of the planet, sustainability, and women's rights. To commemorate the 100th anniversary of the 19th Amendment (which allowed women to vote in America), they asked us to come up with a National campaign that would capture the voices of women and empower them to take ownership over their outdoor equity. We kicked off the project with a road trip spanning 8 cities across America in a custom branded Airstream to record womens' stories, creating social content along the way. The recordings populated a custom website we built that also invited visitors to live record their own stories and submit them online. We also developed a pop-up experience in Washington DC, with listening booths to hear stories, talks, events and an exhibition space.
